answering our most FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How can i prepare for your arrival?

For exterior wraps, we often need air conditioners to be disconnected the day before we begin the dig. Decks can also be a challenge and if we aren’t able to easily fit under them, they may have to be removed and re-installed when we’re done.

For interior wraps we ask that all personal items be either removed completely or moved to the center of the room and covered with plastic. Although we take great care when entering your home, we would hate for any items to get covered in dust or possibly damaged.

  • What does your warranty cover?

The transferable warranties we offer cover all work completed by us that may be defective. This includes all exterior wraps, interior wraps and crack repairs.

Our warranty does not cover sump pump malfunctions as most sump pump manufacturers carry their own warranty.

We are also unable to warrant severe weather events (i.e. extreme rainfall, flash flooding, severe winter storms, tornados, etc.)

  • what happens if there is an unexpected problem?

If anything unexpected arises throughout your job, you will be informed immediately.

We don’t believe in hiding or sugar coating anything, especially if there is a problem. We have many trades we work closely with and will do everything in our power to remedy the situation but you will always be included in the decision making process.

  • Do i need to be home while the work is being done?

In most situations you do not need to be home while the entire job is being completed.

With exterior wraps we may need a quick look inside to determine where your water line is but after that, you’re good to go about your day.

Interior wraps require us to have access to the inside of your home for the entire process. Some customers choose to take a day or two off of work, others leave a key in a lock box for us to come and go.

Although we love meeting your furry companions, we ask that pets be placed in a separate area of the home if you do intend to leave. This ensures they are kept safe and comfortable during the process.

  • Do I need to strip my basement walls or can you do that for me?

We generally ask that all basement walls be prepped prior to our arrival but we understand that not everyone has the time in their schedule to complete that work.

If needed, our team can remove your drywall, insulation and studs and properly dispose of everything. This option will need to be discussed prior to the work beginning and be added to your initial quote.

It is then up to the homeowner to have the basement refinished or leave it as is.

  • Will there be alot of noise?

During an interior wrap we will have to run a jack hammer, which can be very loud. If you’d like to leave your home during this process we completely understand. Our team is usually very quick when it comes to busting up concrete and can often give you an accurate estimate of when that part of the work will be finished.

An exterior wrap requires a few shovels and our mini excavator which makes a lot less noise.

  • what happens if there is a leak after the work is completed?

We offer a lifetime transferable warranty with all wraps and exterior crack repairs. Although it isn’t an often occurrence, if our work leaks or is defective in any way, we will come back and fix it at no extra cost to you.

We believe in the products we use and want our customers to feel confident in our services. We will do everything we can to remedy an issue if it arises.

  • How can i pay my invoice once i receive it?

We accept payment in the form of cash, cheque or e-transfers. Depending on the amount ($2,000.00 or less) we do have an option for you to pay by credit card but we ask that you notify our office that you would like to use that method prior to receiving your invoice.

We understand that many banks have limits on the amount that can be sent by e-transfers and we have no issues with our customers sending installments until the balance is paid in full.

Our office will always provide a receipt for any payments made by any of the above methods.

  • How long do I have to wait for the concrete in my basement to dry?

The concrete we put down for an interior wrap needs a minimum of 24 hours to cure before placing anything on top of it.

Once it is ready, you can begin putting your basement back together. If you’re planning on painting your concrete floor, we recommend you wait 30-60 days before applying any paint.

  • Can you move my services for me?

If a utility is in the way and needs to be moved we often ask the homeowner to have that completed prior to our arrival. We can however recommend companies we work closely with that are both efficient and cost effective.

Most hot water heaters, furnaces and air conditioners can be easily moved by the companies we recommend, however, if you are renting any of your utilities, you may have to call the service provider and use your account number.

Our team is able to remove and re-install your washer, dryer and laundry tub.
