OUR PROCESS
Carefully excavate the soil around the foundation walls to expose the entire foundation down to the footings of the foundation making sure we don’t damage any existing cables, water or gas pipes.
We then remove any debris, loose soil, or old waterproofing materials from the foundation walls.
EXPOSE FOOTINGS
Clean the foundation walls to remove dirt, dust, and loose materials. This ensures a good bond for the waterproofing products.
Seal any visible cracks or holes in the foundation with hydraulic cement or a similar patching compound to prevent water infiltration.
CLEAN & PREP FOUNDATION
First we apply a specialized primer to the foundation walls to enhance adhesion, then we unroll the Blueskin membrane and adhere it to the primed foundation wall, ensuring it overlaps and covers all potential points of water entry. Finally we use a roller to smooth out the membrane, removing air bubbles, and ensure all seams are well-sealed.
APPLY BLUESKIN MEMBRANE
We lay the Big ‘O’ perforated drainage pipe at the base of the foundation. The pipe is wrapped in a filter fabric to prevent soil from clogging the pipe. We then cover the Big ‘O’ pipe with clear stone to facilitate water flow.
Delta-MS is a dimpled membrane that directs water down to the drainage system. We secure the Delta-MS over the Blueskin membrane ensuring it extends below grade level.
INSTALL BIG O & DIMPLE WRAP
We backfill the excavation with the excavated soil ensuring not to damage the installed membranes and drainage system, compacting the soil as we backfill to prevent or minimize future settling of the soil.
We ensure the final grade of the soil slopes away from the foundation to direct water away from the home.
